Dan and Penny Kocal, recognizing a need in the greater Sacramento area for a company specializing in homeowner association management, founded A & K Advanced Property Management in 1991. Along with their partners they quickly learned that communities and their Board of Directors responded to the personal touch of association managers willing to listen to their concerns and acted quickly to resolve them. A growing business had begun.The year 1997 brought a major change to the company. The Kocal’s bought their partner’s share of the company and Kocal Management Group, Inc. was formed. With a good base of services established, the company attracted many new communities that longed for quality professional association management. Currently Kocal Management Group, Inc. manages over 80 community associations consisting of master planned communities, sub associations, planned unit developments, condominium / townhome communities, and business parks bringing the total number of actual units under contract to approximately 17,000. Kocal Management Group, Inc. has become one of the largest management companies for Common Interest Developments in the greater Sacramento Area. Our size and continual growth is a result of the quality service provided to our clients. We designate targeted teams, consisting of a manager, accountant and administrative assistant, to provide specialized service to each association. This team approach enables us to keep our services on a personal level as our company continues to grow.

In August 2003 Brent Kocal realized the best avenues for company growth lay in commercial real estate management and site maintenance.  Together with Dan and Penny, he co-founded Kocal Properties, Inc.  The same commitment to a higher standard of customer care is apparent in each division of the company.
